CeFA® 1

This is the foundation module of the financial adviser course. As such it covers a wide aspect of financial training areas including FSA regulation. Prior to commencing the course delegates will be sent a copy of our "Making Sense of Money" guide. Essentially this is the IFS CeFA manual condensed and in English. Experience has shown that delegates who have read this IFS learning guide find the course much more rewarding. The CeFA study course itself is over 4 days. One of the main themes of the financial course is to bring it to life, making it relevant and practical, to this end thoughout the course sales ideas are interjected.

CeFA® 2

This takes the knowledge gained in CeFA 1 concerning financial investments and risks and expands it further. Unit 3, Principles of investments, covers areas such as risk, taxation of investments and basic economics etc, whilst Unit 4 looks at the financial investment products themselves. This CeFA course, whether taken on its own or part of the combined course, runs for 2 days.

CeFA® 3

Once again build on CeFA 1, this time looking specifically at retirement planning and protection issues. This course is also held over 2 days.

CeFA® 4

This is where all the knowledge gained over the past 3 modules is put in to a practical context through a series of case studies. As it a consolidation of all the IFS learning areas, no new knowledge is imparted and the whole day is spent reviewing cases and answers. In particular, this training course puts emphasis on CeFA exam technique and explaining why an answer is B. This means that in the CeFA exam, delegates will have a clear idea of what is expected of them should a question be rephrased in a different manner, helping them on their way to their CeFA certificate.
